United States: a city takes over violent video games
A small town in Connecticut, United States, mounted a takeover of violent video games and many U.S. cities have decided to purchase firearms to their owners after the school shooting in Newtown mid-December.
Merchants of the town of Southington, about fifty miles from Newtown, and will offer vouchers to people who will bring video games, CD or DVD violent. The collection will be held January 12 in the local theater community.
The origin of this initiative, the association SOS Southington, created in the wake of the tragedy of Newtown, believes that there is "clear evidence" that violent video games contribute to "increased aggression, of fear and anxiety "in society.
Many cities also organized takeovers of firearms against vouchers or money. At the same time, sales of magazines have reached an unprecedented level and in rural areas, fairs weapons have had their weapons sales increase reported several local newspapers. Fans of firearms actually want to buy models of rifles and pistols that could soon be banned by stricter regulations.
